The next incarnation of 123 Washington Street began in August 2005 with the purchase of the property by the Moinian Group. The developer, with the help of architects Gwathmey Siegel and contractor Tishman Construction, plans to erect a mixed-use hotel and condominium that will stand 53 stories tall and offer 220 hotel rooms and 180 residential condominium apartments. It is slated to open in March 2008. (I believe the hotel in this development will be a W)
