Admittedly, I've been gone from the forums for a while and when I came back...umm...the redesign has potential, but it seems like it's harder to find what I'm looking for. And where are all of the Richmond Projects in the database that I thought used to just be simple forum threads? Maybe I'm just missing something (wouldn't be the first time).

Glad to have you back, rhg247.

This thread used to be what I think was called a "sticky" topic.  As you can note from TBurban's plaint above, it's a time-consuming project that none of us seems to have time for.  I wouldn't even know how to begin!

Anyway, if you surf around you'll probably find discussions on just about every topic in the Richmond forum pages.  Posted Image

I can try to piece it together over the next two weeks. Its a lot easier now that most projects have been put on hold or cancelled! I think starting this summer we will get many proposals coming out of the wood work since the economy is getting better.

Sorry it took so long but the Richmond Project Database has been updated finally!Posted Image Their is still more to add to the list! While compiling the list I realized how many projects are under construction!Posted Image Only urban developments were added to the database. Suburban developments come and go so quickly plus goes against this forums true purpose so they were not added. Also Fort Lee is going through a huge $1.5 billion dollar expansion with the BRAC relocation in which I debated to add but it is not urban development but has a major impact on the Richmond and Tri-Cities economy. As time goes on I will clean up the list by adding more pics and websites and extensions to forum threads! Enjoy!Posted ImagePosted Image

P.S. Also visions and dead projects were not added, only projects with concrete evidence and have been presented in front of City Council and approved with some sort of financial backing!

Calwinston, you have done a superb job of updating this information.  I'm amazed you managed to do it in little more than a month.

Congratulations, and many thanks.  At 82 years old, I am personally gratified that you have taken such an interest in this site.  And I'm sure our many readers are just as pleased.
