Phoenix is near top in road rage, No. 1 in sweat
A summary of some "Best of 2007" lists.
Phoenix again got on the "best drivers" list, although I think they weren't #1 last year, but they also got #6 for road rage, which seems counter-intuitive to me.
Another highlight: Scottsdale, Chandler and Tempe all made the Top 100 for "Best communities for young people." Chandler doesn't seem to add up for me.

Recent NHTSA statistics report Arizona has the third-highest percentage of hit-and-run fatalities, more than twice the national average. Only California and Washington D.C. have more drivers who illegally flea from deadly accidents.

I wonder how they decide these things? Driving in Phoenix frustrates me very much. The drivers are very disorganized and have almost no curtesy for each other. Add to that the accidents that always happen, Phoenix must be big enough to where the per capita drags it up on whatever curve they would be grading.
My wish: Arizona state legislature makes a law about driving in the left lanes. IF YOU'RE NOT PASSING GET OVER!
