The Proscenium, Sarasota

The Proscenium, a mixed-use development, is coming soon to downtown Sarasota.  The development will include a concert hall and a 225 unit, 18 story Waldorf=Astoria hotel.  I'll try to find a few images and will post them here.

I've seen renderings in the past. It is a great looking project.

The hotel isn't bad looking, but the Waldorf=Astoria designation does not seem to fit correctly with the project.  Perhaps it's just my preconception of what one should be like.  Has anyone else got the same feeling about this?

I think it will be fine.  The building seems to fit with its surroundings and does not fall into the traditionalist trap that might possibly have been encouraged by the affiliation.  As for the Indigo, I have heard good things about it.  Isn't it a renovation of an older property?
