Retail Stores Coming to Holyoke

HOLYOKE — S.K. Properties of West Hartford, Conn. will begin the permitting process for a prime piece of real estate on Whiting Farms Road once the $3 million sale by the Holyoke Gas & Electric Company is completed. At press time, the anchor tenant for the proposed 18.7-acre parcel of retail development had not been identified by the developer. S.K. Properties and O'Connell Development Group of Holyoke had submitted proposals for the parcel located near the Holyoke Mall at Ingleside. S.K. Properties noted that the undisclosed anchor store could create up to 95 full-time jobs and 50 part-time jobs. In other retail news, Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma expect to open stores on the upper level of the Holyoke Mall at Ingleside later this year.

The Republican has an article about this project.

it is still a go.

I do not have a link becauser I got it on my Bloomberg terminal.

Lowes is a possible anchor, but everyone is tight liped.

It is now in the zoning sages, and if zoning goes through as approved, the sale will be finalised and site prep can begin and a propery site plan etc created

Hooray.. more satellite city garbage that Holyoke doesn't need.. Wish they invested as much in their downtown as they do in Ingleside.

Of course, now that they've basically filled every retail niche possible in Ingleside, what else could they possibly put downtown?

Such a waste...
