Four months after selling two Fairfield County newspapers, Tribune Co. has sold the accompanying real estate for $30 million, according to brokers involved in the deal.
Chicago-based Tribune, parent company of The Courant, sold the buildings to Summit Development LLC, based in Norwalk. Tribune once operated The Advocate of Stamford and Greenwich Time newspapers at the sites.
The sale of the properties in Stamford and Greenwich closed Tuesday. A Summit spokesman said Wednesday the company plans to announce redevelopment plans for the sites within the next month. He declined to provide further details.
I am sure it will be A battle getting something built in Greenwich, but 3.2 Acres in Downtown Stamford will surely be able to raise funding for an interesting project.
