Plymouth is a large city (land wise) if this studio is okayed by the public what would the overall effect be on this small city. There is a large amount of development, a great main area on their main street (1A, I think), and a decent sized commuter population who take the Kingston/Plymouth Commuter Rail, or drive up Route 3 to Boston everyday.

Could be helpful for those who want to film in Boston, have the rest of production done in Plymouth than somewhere further away.
As long as there is some success with this studio, it is a positive for the city/region/state. It probably won't hurt Boston all that much.

Plymouth is rapidly becoming a suburban nightmare and the big box retail whore of SE Mass. Luckily it's downtown has managed to stay in tact thanks to tourism and good food.

Town Meeting easily passed two articles last night that will allow Plymouth Rock Studios to move forward with the construction of a $400 million film studio on a 240-acre golf course, after months of negotiation between local officials and studio executives.

Plymouth planners green light studio bid. The developers expect to break ground on the $550 million project this summer. Construction on the actual studio facilities would not begin for several months after the initial site work begins.
