It's been taken from the balcony on the
Shrine of Remembrance looking north.
Apart from the Shrine itself, it has other war memorials around, just outside of the pic to the left is the WW2 memorial & Eternal Flame and the Korean (or Vietnam? can't remember exactly) to the right. The forecourt is where the two people are walking, and you can see St. Kilda Road bending back into the allignment it once had before the Shrine was built - when then, once you cross the Yarra River, becomes Swanston St - Melbourne's main drag (well one of them

)
The various landmarks are the Victorian Arts Centre spire (left), Flinders Street Station (left - beyond the VAC Spire), St. Paul's Cathedral (right, opposite side of the street to Flinders Street Station) And you can just see the tops of
Federation Square further to the right of St. Pauls, just above the treetops.
The 2nd Image is St. Kilda Road looking south from the Balcony (the Shrine is at the Northern end of the road)
