I noticed a few of the forums have photo topics I think it would be great to have a statewide photo section. So please add your favorite photos here.

This is one I took in Atlanta on July 6th as a storm rolled in over the city skyline.

Savannah is an absolute delight. When I need to get a different fix from my beloved metro Atlanta, Savannah is my city of choice. It is a tour de force of so many things that make a city great...great architecture, great food, rich history, beautiful landscape and a waterside location.

I saw these pics highlighting downtown Columbus' streetscape improvements.  Its been so long since I've been there, I don't really remember what the downtown looked like.

Downtown Columbus had made major changes in the last 10 years. Hundreds of millions have been spent on downtown since the 96 Olympics. Broadway just finished up a $14 million streetscape improvement. Columbus State University just opened there $50 million downtown arts campus. TSYS and Synovus has built beautiful new office buildings along the riverwalk. The convention and trade center just underwent a major expansion. An old mill downtown is being converted into a new mixed-use project that will have lofts, restaurants, and retail. A new 2-story YMCA building is being built adjacent to TSYS. The Rivercenter (middle picture) is a new performing arts hall that rivals any venue in the Southeast. Columbus has really taken off in the last 10 years. More good things are to come.

The pictures come from the firm that designed the streetscape improvements.  I do remember the huge median on (I guess) Broad street which is nice.

Here are a couple more.
