We'll be moving to West Palm in the very near future & would really appreciate some insight from people living in the area. We'd like to know what neighborhoods to avoid & which to look for. Which areas are hot - investment wise?  I have two children 8th & 10th grade - local public schools are important. We prefer older spanish style homes & would like to be able to walk to the shops, etc. Our price range would be around $300-350K. We are happy to live in a smaller home if the neighborhood fits.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry that I cannot offer you any useful advice about neighborhoods in Palm Beach County.  This is not, strictly speaking, a real estate site.  Perhaps other readers may have suggestions.
