This would certainly be a boost for Flint.

This would be huge.  And, with the site they are mulling, it would fill in a major missing 'tooth' along Saginaw Street.  I wonder with 380 employees how much square footage they are looking at?

This is the biggest potential development downtown in the last 15 years, with the possible exception of the Durant being redeveloped. I mean wowwwwwwwwww, an additional 400 blue collar workers in downtown flint, which is so compact and close together. I just hope it happens and it's done right, not a half though surburban type building or anything.

How many employees are in the existing building, along with other tenants?  It's a small building, and only about 3 stories.

Its more than 3 stories its actually between 5 and 6 if I remember right.  It has been a few years since I have been in there.  Health plus from what I uderstand has like 380 employees in the building plus several doctors have offices in the building.

Yeah, it's kind of tough to tell.  What would be really cool if there was something with height along Saginaw St.  They could have other professional offices located in the building as well.  I was recently looking at some historic photos of Flint on flickr.  Search "Saginaw St. Aerial" and you'll find a user that has a bunch of old photos.  There were some incredible structures where the pavilion and parking currently is.

What I'd really like is something in 4-6 story range.

Yeah, I was also thinking something in the range of 5 stories, perhaps something a bit taller depending on how they do the parking.  I assume they'd ask the city to building a ramp, at least, that's how developers end up manipulating the city, here. lol

Yeah that would be awesome if they moved. Im not sure where they'd build a new office at though.

dtown, the article posted already gives a possible site for a downtown location.
