The following are a set of photos I took during a small visit to Atlanta during the Christmas holiday. I have to say that this city never disappoints! Despite the frigid temperatures (quite unusual for this area), I walked from Atlantic Station to Midtown admiring all the new projects that have gone up since I was last here in April. Due to the distance from where I was at in Midtown, I boarded MARTA from Arts Center and took it to Peachtree Center to get some skyline shots from the Westin. I don't know why, but the staff at the SunDial wouldn't allow me to use a tripod. Maybe because the observation area and restaurant are combined since the upper floors are damaged from the tornado in March? I ended the trip with a drive through Virginia Highlands/Ponce de Leon and a visit to the zoo. Hope you enjoy!

Excellent excellent photo shot. The Zoo pictures were also very very nice. What's not to love about a Panda, lol? Now with two babies, Zoo Atlanta can at least feel some pride in helping to replenish the Panda population. I also really loved the artistic shot of the High Museum. The First Emporer "Terracota Warriors" exhibit is excellent. Interesting enough, we also have the Riches of Tutankhamen in Atlanta at the same time. It's a tour de force of historical treasures.
