Looks like this merger is ultimately a good thing for CT.  I was worried we might lose jobs but it seems the company is commiting to CT.

HQ in Wilton
R&D in Trumbull
120 new CT jobs is nothing to sneeze at in these tough times.
the company will total 200 jobs here.

A $2 billion-a-year maker of laundry detergent and other household cleaners is receiving a $1.5 million loan and other tax credits from the state as it establishes a new headquarters and research facility in Fairfield County.

Sun Products Corp., whose brands include "all," "Wisk" and "Snuggle," is establishing its North American Technology Center in Trumbull, after announcing last year that its new headquarters would be in Wilton.

Together, the two facilities will employ about 200, including about 120 new jobs. Of the new jobs, about 35 will be in research and development. Sun was formed last year in the combination of the Unilever North American Laundry Care business, which already had operations in Connecticut, and Huish Detergents Inc.

I was just reading this as well. It looks like a very good deal for CT indeed.
