We have a thread for proposed light rail lines but not one for those that are under construction.  This thread is for photos or any other information for lines currently under construction that are past the proposed phase.

Looks great!  You guys will be proud of your new light rail, I know I'm extremely proud of Charlotte's.

And Virginia Beach just bought a Norfolk southern line that goes from the last station newtown (VA beach-Norfolk border)   through to VBs new downtown and to the oceanfront resort area. They plan to extend the tide by 11 miles or so through VB to the ocean. (though VB has alot of NIMBYs that are quite loud, the new mayor is pro LR tho alot of people support it.

Through some neighborhoods. This portion of the line does not have alot of development at the moment because it used to be a freight line. The power lines are a factor as well.



Interstate (very clogged one) is beyond the trees to the left.
