Can't remember which forum member points out the huge opportunity to use the Route 95 facade for signage/something attractive (which I agree with BTW), I found these parts of the last story interesting:
"It is most visible from Route 95. But the side facing the highway has no identifiable markings. “When you look at the building from the highway, it might as well be a shoe factory,” said James P. McCarvill, executive director of the convention center authority. (Signage is restricted for buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, he said.)"
Can't they get a lousy variance for such restrictions simply in the effort to market/identify the place??

If you can knock down National Register buildings willy nilly, I'm sure you can put a sign on one.
