"Wickford Junction garage plan gets OK
The Cioe Cos. Last week received unanimous approval from North Kingstown’s Planning Commission to revise its projects master plan to build a 1,077-car parking garage on a 4-acre site within Wickford Junction. The company, which will manage the project, and the state are nearing an agreement to create a public/private partnership to purchase a permanent easement on which to build the garage, to allow access through a shopping center and to tie into its utilities, including its private sewage-treatment system. Once completed, Wickford Junction will provide commuter rail service via the MBTA to the Warwick Intermodal Station at T.F. Green Airport as well as Providence and Boston.
