There has been 7 new proposed routes for Corridor K through Polk County in the Cherokee National forest, 2 just north of the Ocoee river and 4
a little further south of the Ocoee river. The 7th is the no-build option which TDOT apparently left on the table.

After the rock slide on US 64 this week TDOT has reaffirmed that they are still moving forward with the Ocoee Gorge bypass. I for one support it. The sprawl can be controlled by limiting exits on the new expanse.

The Tennessee General Assembly has passed a bill(HJR754)in support of the completion of Corridor K. It will now be sent to the US DOT urging them to proceed forward with the road.

TDOT's Corridor K Transportation Planning Report has been completed. Below is the link to the PDF that covers many routes and estimated costs. The most expensive is approx 1.2 billion.
