I was in Grand Rapids last weekend as I came with friends to the techfest, and I'm telling you, your city is about to have an event that will easily compete with Detroit's if more effort is put into it. it was incredible, busy even though it ended too early (12am), and people were happy. I met at least 35 people that were out of towners staying at the numerous hotels.

I'm hoping next year is bigger. =] I know a few people who came from outside the city as well.
