Broadway is the main north/south street in Denver and runs from the Arapahoe Square area north of downtown all the way to the infamous Highlands Ranch area south of C-470.  From downtown to Englewood it is an older commercial strip that has potential to once again become Denver's "main street" serving great urban neighborhoods like Wash Park and up and coming ones such as Baker.  RTD's Southwest light rail line runs within a few blocks of Broadway making TODs a possibility as well.

The Denver Post ran a story yesterday on a real estate developer who has accumulated property along South Broadway near the Evans light rail station and has ambitious plans for a mixed-use redevelopment of the area.  The first 8-story building is slated to start construction in 2011.
