WOW this is unbelievable! The irony is that a man falls off an 8 story parking deck in Greensboro, NC a few weeks ago and he dies.

But there is no explanation as to how this guy survived. The forces of gravity combined with the height should have killed him instantly.

Amazing, but it isn't without precedent. Flight attendant Vesna Vulovic survived a fall from an aircraft at cruising altitude in 1972: http://en.wikipedia....i/Vesna_Vulović

I just don't understand how in either case they survived although im glad they did. In the case of the 40-story skyscraper, they are saying the car broke his fall. But from 40 stories up its difficult to see how he still survived. Flight attendant Vesna Vulovic is even more unbelievable. One could say divine intervention is the only explanation. The impact should have not only killed them but crushed their bones.

BTW this has happened before in New York. A window washer fell from 48 stories to the ground and is alive and walking today.

Didn't someone survive the fall from the collapse of the World Trade Center towers as well? I think I recall something about riding a chunk of concrete down to the ground and surviving.
