Would this be possible with only commercial annexation in order to reach Cherrydale, or could we see residential additions too?

Councilman Suddath said the city would look at residential and commercial possibilities. He also mentioned Poinsett Highway and the possibility of 'cleaning it up'.

Now that would be a great thing to see! The northern gateway to the City could definitely use some cleaning up!

Carolina Dermatology at 920 Woodruff Rd. is being annexed. Slightly over 1.5 acres.

Annexations of less than a quarter acre are not uncommon in SC, btw.

Looks like the Cherrydale Crossings shopping center is going to be annexed into the city: http://www.greenvill...ntburgDrive.pdf If nothing else, this should give the city additional tax revenue.

Excellent news.  


Between Property taxes, Business License fees, Sunday Liquor sales licenses, and Prepared Food taxes, it will be a nice payday for the city.  Additional expenses to the city should be minimal.

It also brings the city limits contiguous to Montebello, in case the city were to pursue that option.

The Bojangles under construction next to Cherrydale Crossing is getting annexed into the city. The parcel is .76 acres.
