Kansas City is a very unique metro in that it has two cities with the same name. I think Kansas City is one of those urban cities that doesnt get the attention it deserves.

I agree(I'm not just sayin that because I'm from KC). I think alot of people don't think of KC as a major urban city because it's name begins with "Kansas". So people think of it as a Farm Community(I've never even been on a farm before). There are a couple of other cities that don't get much urban credit because of their name or location; Charlotte and Jacksonville for example...

Do you see that building with the circle thing on top(the 3rd picture)? I walked the other day from there to the "One Kansas City Place"(the tallest building in the background). It was farther than I thought it was, it took me an hour to walk there and back,LOL!!!...

Yea, when people think of Kansas, they usually think of Dorthy and the "farm" from the Wizard of Oz. Norfolk, VA is another city that doesnt get attention it deserves. but Kansas City appears to be very dense much like some Northeast cities based on these photos and its a side of Kansas people tend to over look.

Plus, most people think most-if not all of Kansas City sits in Kansas, most of it sits in Missouri. Most of KC's suburbs are very large anywhere from 120,000-over150,000...

I'm sure most people would be shocked to see Kansas City in person. It appears thats its more dense than St. Louis which is a city that gets far more attention. Kansas City seems to rival Atlanta's skyline.

YES...its very NICE! B) I've never been west of Chicago but maybe one day I'll make out to the Kansas City area. I would love to visit there. It looks like a very vibrant city.

well, can you wait till 2007? Because our new arena will be done, our new PAC will be done, our new entertainment district will be done, etc...
or you could come now, take photos, see the city then come back in 2007.

And the plaza will have over 3 more skyscrapers by then... (the first 3 are assured, but I'm sure there will be more skyscrapers, at least more than 2-3 more proposed by then.)

I like that panoramic view. I think 20-25 years from the plaza will be KC's secondary skyline...La gente no sabe la ciudad de Kansas City sofisticada truely esta!

It already is! Downtown and then the Plaza
It already has more skyscrapers than Omaha, Des Moines, OK City, etc...
And has almost as many skyscrapers as Tulsa.

The skyscrapers planned for southern downtown (AKA Crown Center)

Very nice Pano KCDevin. I may not make out that way before 2007 but I hope get out. Is the tower cluster on the right side of the pano, a "mid-town" district?

looks like there is plenty of foot traffic. Kansas City has so many architectural styles.

citiboi, that is like KCGhettoBoy said, the midtown skyline. However the white tower is in downtown, it is called Landmark Tower (formally the BMA Tower)

Are you serious? Atlanta has 4-6 different skylines with lots of highrises being built right now. Check out the Atlanta forum.......Please.

In height and density I agree with the guy, in aggregate perhaps not as Atlanta's skyline is spread over a larger area.
