Here is a rendering of the bridge that will link the Piedmont Triad with the Charlotte metro. It looks much longer than the old bridge. Looks like it will be the longest bridge on the I-85 corridor in North Carolina. It will be some time after 2013 when its complete. The Yadkin River serves as the dividing line between Charlotte Metrolina and the Piedmont Triad.
