Does anyone know what is being built at the intersection of Kings and Charlottetown?

I know a Chipotle but I'm not sure what the other buildings are going to be.

I can't recall anything really other than some street construction to be more pedestrian and bike friendly?

I heard it was a standard strip commercial center. Nothing to get excited about.

In addition to Chipotle, I had heard a T-Mobile, but now I hear a mattress store.  The development is stand-alone retail pads, but at least with parking to the rear of the build-to-suit pads.  However, the back-of-curb sidewalks won't be replaced.

I dont know if that is better, or worse than an empty lot...

Though I suppose these days, any building is "good" building.

I last saw it a few weeks ago, so I don't know how its shaping up since then, but I was glad that they are building out very close to the corner and putting parking in back at least. In that location it was probably either this or waiting until another monolithic superproject could be built. There are a handful of places in Charlotte where we might get classic style retail storefronts in a new development but I don't think this was one of them.
