Jay Wornick loss weight the good old fashioned way. Exercise and healthy foods. Before his weight loss, he would easily intake over 10,000 calories a day. He could drink 14 cans of soda at a time and eat 4 fast food sandwiches and a steak at a time. That didn't include the other two meals a day. Its a challenge to lose that much weight but to do it in 10 months without the help of surgery is amazing. It should be motivation for anyone trying to lose weight. Even if you don't think you are seeing progress, you have to keep at it. At one point I was 264 pounds. I exercised  40 minutes daily on theelliptical and weight training machines, drank water, ate high fiber and low calorie fat burning foods. In about 7 months I was down to 195 pounds. I was losing about 10 pounds a month. You don't need to waste your money on those special diets. But it has to be a lifestlye change, not a crash diet. Its all about eating right and staying physically active. Starving yourself is not the way to lose weight. You need to eat your 3 meals a day (healthy foods in smaller portion sizes.) Also you need to eat a healthy snack in between those meals. That's important because it gives your body the energy it needs throughout the day to burn fat. I usually eat fruit in between meals. Losing weight lowers your risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer. Oh yeah, stay a way from bad habits like smoking. You can extend your life by many years doing all this.
