From What I have read on another site is that White Lodging has given up on the 8th & Demonbreun location and are looking just off Broadway where the original Westin site was. Looks as if they may be in a battle for Westin with Tony G.

I think they are more likely to join with Tony than fight him and I see it on the 4th and Demonbreun site

Tony seems to have the prime location for sure and it is shovel ready too. I would much rather see them join as compete. The number of rooms is about right too. Tony's I think is 317 and White is looking to something in the 300 - 400 range.
Interestingly, White Lodging is doing two projects in Austin simultaneously as well.

Don't rule out the current parking lot between 2nd and 3rd and bordered by KVB and Malloy.

I think that is where Producer is talking about. That site is owned by CB Ragland company, however on their website, it does not look as if they have the entire site. There seems to be a sliver close to KVB that they do not own. The entire lot is run by Tony Giarratana's Premier parking.

Well isn't that interesting...

the fact that Premier is running the parking has no bearing on the sale of the property.

From what we have heard Tony is indeed in talks with White Lodging.
