Why isnt there a walgreens in the downtown core? Go to downtown Chicago and theres one on every corner. Downtown could use a cvs or a walgreens easily.

1. Harder to get away with putting in a 50 space parking lot. Maybe.

2. Would actually have to have real windows you can see through.

And I'm being serious on these. While they have lots of urban stores in large cities, for some reason GR is only presented with the suburban model.

I was shocked to see the new Walgreens at Fuller and Michigan has large windows all around the perimeter.  We'll see if they fill them with signage, but it looks much nicer than the usual Walgreens.

There was pressure for this from both the planning commission and the Midtown Neighborhood Association.  It's amazing the aesthetic improvement it makes over a brick wall.
