My husband will be getting out of the Army in about a year or so & we're looking for a place to settle down. I would absolutley love to be in Florida with the sunny skies & palm trees. Anyone have any suggestions for nice areas in Florida with lower costs of living, good housing, good job market, low crime, etc. We're in our lower 20's but very laid back & calm so don't be afraid to include the more "boring" towns lol.

Orlando is a great city -- look at neighborhoods such as Thornton Park, College Park, Audubon Park (there are a lot of Parks) Park Lake Highland, Delaney Park and Lake Lawsona/Ferncreek. All very close to Downtown with a good mix of historic and modern housing.
