Just got this from Channel 7 news. A mutli million dollar medical university is being built as part of the Greenville Hospital System. Will be a 22 acre site!

Interesting. I wonder if it will try to join in on the USC/MUSC merger?

I believe they said around the site of the original hospital in Greenville. Not sure on that, still looking for more info.

It is tied into USC, Greenville Tech, and some other businesses.

Article says they are all tied into it. Even USC Spartanburg! Thats why it was changed to USC Upstate! The land is located near the original hospital, 22 acres of it! Project is more than 20 million dollars. I think thats awesome.

There is an article at Greenvilleonline. The site is on Grove Rd. I think its near a large mental hospital. Remember, I am still kind of new to the area.

Oh ok, Its at Greenville Memorial Hospital. In Greenville there are two major hospitals: Greenville Memorail (Which is on Wade Hampton) and St Francis which is in the western part of Greenville near Easley Bridge Rd (S Academy). Greenville Memorial is a larger hospital, and it has a fairly large branch campus off of Pelham Rd. Both hostpitals have many small branch campuses all over.
