Mrh3 is right.

like Times Square before us, people live all over Manhattan and Times Square, Park Ave, etc...  I'Drive needs a healthy mix of residential.  THink of it.  Blue Rose will feature a PAC Hall and shows; not just for the tourists, but for the locals as well.  Not to mention all of the shopping amenities nearby.  THey should put a Target in that huge lot on the eastern edge of Kirkman/ north of Carrier.  just kidding.

Actually that would be a perfect location for a Publix. Like it was stated earlier this area needs a grocery store, not just the little mini marts that sell stale food for double price. I know you were kidding about Target, but they do have a K-Mart just up the road and around the corner(Turkey Lake).

this is the project on Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Road extension near WDW; it's the northern-most development in that hotel cluster.  I drove by the site last week.  There was one of those auger things towards the back of the site drilling or something.

this is really cool. turner construction constructed a virtual city with all their projects that they completed in 2005. notice the sanctuary snugged close to the beach.

that is really cool.  Aren't they also doing Vue?  I guess they can't add it until it's completed.

Here's some arials of LBV Res. & Spa.  I really like how they took a simple outlet center, LBV Outlets, and incorporated it into a master plan with the new condotel project.  Check it out:

I see the resort, but I just can't envision SPA.  People attach the word spa to any room that has a massage therapist in it.  Just call me crabapple.

I think it's neat that a lot of these resorts get built out in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking.  For instance,
JW Marriott rising out of a sea of green really adds to the resort-atmosphere.  It's relaxing.
Maybe it's just me.  Sooner or later, though, as it fills in, it will be right in the center of the action.  Hopefully as that happens, we can keep the green and minimize the asphalt, if that's possible.

Heh? Grande Lakes, which I assume is the Marriott you're referring to, is right on the edge of a large neighborhood and rather close to I-Drive, not to mention Sea World. Not exactly the middle of nowhere. On the other hand, I don't see anything around this resort.

There was a rumor a while back that Walmart was going to build a supercenter across the street from this resort.

You know, they'd almost deserve it.  I've always felt like Grande Lakes is in the strangest location possible.  Sort of like posh resorts in Caribbean countries surrounded by giant fences, which if/when you are to venture past, you'll find yourself in the middle of a shanty.  Not that this part of town is shanty-esque, but, it's really strange land use for a highly-respected brand associated with the utmost sophistication to plop down in the middle of suburbia.

I agree.  Shingle Creek is pretty close to it opposite 528.  I think the master plan or future road plan for the kirkman extension also has a road going east to JYP just north of CF PKWY.  It could tie it in a little more to Universal BLVD.

they should build an E-W road from I-Drive to JYP south of CF Pkwy.  that connects to it better.
