Krystal opens first Triad restaurant in Burlington
Krystal, a fast-food chain known for serving up small square hamburgers, has opened its first location in the Triad.

The restaurant is located at 216 Huffman Mill Road, off Interstate 85/40, in Burlington. The Krystal opened Dec. 28 and will employ up to 75 workers.

As first reported by the April 4-10, 2003, print edition of this publication, the Burlington location is the first of up to eight restaurants planned in the Triad over the next two years by franchisee Square L Foods Co. in Raleigh.

Krystal is planning to open a High Point location in 2004, though the company did not specify

For those of you that don't know, Krystal is the south's version of White Castle in the northeast.

Ugh, I can't stand Krystal's. My wife love the stuff for some reason. I think this is one of those love/hate fast food places.
