A record year for the Fifth Third Riverbank Run yesterday morning, with over 15,000 runners in the 25K, 10K, 5K run and 5K walk. I did my first ever 10k, sort of on whim, signing up Friday. Pretty stupid, since I've probably run all of 10 miles in the past 3 weeks. smile.gif I turned in a pretty respectable 57:42 though, beating my 60 minute goal. I guess that mtn bike racing and training and commuting have done something to keep me in shape. My calves are like bricks today though. Didn't stretch them enough yesterday.

The whole event was very awesome and a bit overwhelming. Makes me wish I was going to be able to make it down to Bike the Drive (www.bikethedrive.org) on May 25, where 20,000 people bicycle the entire length of Lake Michigan Dr. It has a similar atmosphere, from what I hear.]]> Sun, 11 May 2008 18:08:09 -0500 fotoman311 Midtown at CityView Progress it looks like it will be a little bit taller that Columbus One. Not that bad. Even better when they connect the road and I hope the city decides to dig up that little creek to turn that into a good size lake with a trail around it.
