Meijer in Northeast Ohio?

Meijer supposedly had options on several sites in the Cleveland area. The large, long-vacant commercial parcel at OH 2 and Lost Nation Road in Willoughby was supposedly a Meijer site.

Wegmans was supposedly looking at expanding to the Cleveland area several years ago, but their expansion strategy changed, and they're not concentrating on the southern Northeast Corridor; specifically DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and suburban New Jersey.

View information on projects and add your own in our new Project Database: [Link]

Hi everyone. I am going to visit my sister in Columbus for the Christmas holidays and wanted to give her and her fiance a gift certificate to one of Columbus's unique, and highly recommended restaurants. I visit Columbus only twice a year so I do not know the city very well. She lives off Bethel Rd. near 315.

It doesn't have to be the most expensive restaurant by any means, but that one place that everyone likes, and is unique to Columbus (no chains if possible).

thanks for any help.

View information on projects and add your own in our new Project Database: [Link]

If you are looking for urban neighborhoods try Pleasant Ridge, Walnut Hills, Hyde Park, Oakley, or Mount Lookout. These would all be Cincinnati Public Schools otherwise if you have the money you can send them to one of the numerous private schools.

If you're looking for something a little more suburan try...Mount Washington, Anderson/Cherry Grove, Kenwood, Madeira, Montgomery, Loveland, or Mason. Indian Hill is very nice...but it's definitely mansions.

I was an east-sider if you can't tell.

View information on projects and add your own in our new Project Database: [Link]

On Monday, August 24, Xavier University will admit a record class of freshmen approximately 1,200 large into the classrooms. An elongated move-in schedule that stretched from Thursday morning into Friday evening. The admission is 40 percent larger than last year's class of 860 students, and 7,152 submitted applications to Xavier. For the fall, Xavier's total student population is 6,355.

Around 90 percent of the freshmen are living on campus in residence halls along Victory Parkway and Herald Avenue corridors.

The 200-strong Xavier Move Crew, dressed in bright green t-shirts, assisted students by unloading the cars and carrying the new students' belongings up to their respective rooms. Here are several photographs from Xavier's move-in day 2009.

I am a 36-year-old mom of 2 and I need to move my family. I know Cincinnati is a big city and so maybe it has what we need??? I didn't go to college and I'm trying to raise my kids alone without much money. Everyone talks on here a lot about the really super-rich neighbors and suburbs....is there anywhere that's just decent enough????? I mean like not the most awesome part of town ever but okay enough that I don't have to worry about my children and where they can get a good education??? Sometimes I feel like the whole world is just rich mansions and then like housing projects!!! Isn't there someplace I can work hard and take care of my kids??

View information on projects and add your own in our new Project Database: [Link]

Out of the three cities, I would definitely choose Columbus. The LGBT community is extremely large and very friendly, much more so than many cities I frequent. I luv the German Village and there is quite a bit to do here thanks to abundant retail and Ohio State being here..

My only complaints is that the skyline is lacking in visual appeal and the city lays to 'flat.'

View information on projects and add your own in our new Project Database: [Link]

I had to shoot some photographs for my employer, so I decided... why not grab some building shots? I had to do a series of "windows," so this naturally fit. Some of these photographs are older; the ones from today are nice but the clouds made it difficult to grab some.

Retrospective: Interstate 275, Cincinnati's Outer-Loop (Ky.)

I love Cincinnati but hate the I-275 freeway. I often travel to and thru the metro area on Interstate 75 but find the beltway requires too much travel to make it a practical bypass. That forces me to use I-75 all the way through town.

I wish there had been more thought into designing the route around the city. The applies to I-675 in Dayton. If you're heading to Springfield its a great route. Otherwise it doesn't alleviate traffic congestion on I-75.

View information on projects and add your own in our new Project Database: [Link]

Kentucky benefits from being able to look at Cincinnati everyday. A more developed Kentucky riverfront would help to make living in downtown a little more visually appeasing. However, a lot of downtown residences, aside from The Banks, will exist in the CBD, OTR, and the surrounding hills, not necessarily on the river.

View information on projects and add your own in our new Project Database: [Link]
