Aparaently Ken Lewis has offered to delay his retirement in order to give the board more time to find a successor:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704533904574548170106937090.html?mod=WSJ_hps_LEFTWhatsNews

The most interesting part of the article was the confirmation of what we heard Monday about the HQ location:

"One widely rumored bargaining chip isn't on the table in discussions with CEO candidates, people with knowledge of the process said. The board hasn't offered to move the company's headquarters from its longtime hometown,"

Sorry about the recycled newspaper post

Personally we need change...but within reason. I don't know this guy but I know he attends almost all council meetings and he always makes comments and you can see in the minutes on the city website. I want to know more about him before I decide but alot of our leadership is OUT OF TOUCH and we MAY need some change. It is too soon to tell if I will vote for Mr. Montague...but I will look closely to his campaign. I think we need new and fresh ideas to further progress our city...even though he is old.

HHGregg is opening a store in VA Beach in an old Linens and Things on VA Beach Blvd.
Still Norfolk is without a major electronics store.

Yeah I noticed that! Why does Norfolk not have an electronics store (Circuit City went bankrupt and closed in Janaf last year with the other locations)? I also wonder why Chesapeake has 3 Cracker Barrel's (Greenbrier, Ches Sq, Edinburgh)...but Va Beach nor Norfolk...nor Suffolk nor Portsmouth has one?...not one Cracker Barrel...
