I don't know if this should go here or in the rogers thread, but is there a map that shows the master plan for the whole Pinnacle Hills area? I'm interested to see the road plan.

There is a map but I don't know if it's shown up on here or not yet. Now I wish I'd gotten a copy of that (or at least taken a picture) last year.

Here's a link to an old map. Not sure if or how many changes there have been since this first came out. But it should at least give you an idea.

I'd been wondering if there had been many tenants leaving the Promenade lately the way the economy has been. Thanks for the update.

Haven't posted for a long time due to deadlines and family.

Knew this was coming, but sorry to see it go. I'd hope for a Books-A-Million. They have them close enough to B&Ns in other places and they're a more stable company.

Actually, the Promenade has a couple of places moving in. Rue 21 is coming from Scottsdale. Some other clothing place is coming, I think Crazy 8, part of Gymboree. Also, Old Navy is moving in next door to Ulta in the big box section and everyone knows about Qdoba and TCBY in the new strip just north.

So as not to worry too much about Scottsdale, they ARE getting Ross in place of Linens and Things and got Verizon not that long ago.

Went to Borders this weekend. It was actually really sad. Its such a nice store and the employees were really nice. But its huge! I have no idea what could move into there? There is defiantly going to be a hole in the promenade now.

Does anyone know why more restaurants haven't moved in yet? I think that they need more choices than they currently have.

Yeah I'm not sure what could move in and take up that amount of space. People have mentioned other bookstores, but overall bookstores really aren't doing well right now. And with the current age of e-books I'm not sure another bookstore would be a long term solution. Granted Barnes & Noble has handled the situation better than most bookstores. Maybe they can break up that space into more than one store?

I was looking through craigslist at the jobs and there was a job posting for operating bungee trampolines and human hamster balls at the promenade. it says they will start july 1 which is only a couple of days away. that seems kinda cool. does anyone know if they still operate the little train? i know they took the carousel ride out.

Cabela's will begin construction on a 100,000-SF store near Target and the Promenade in early 2012.

It will be the state's first.

IMO, this gives the shopping center a significant boost both in traffic, and appeal to other possible tenants.

Rumor that Fresh Market is taking Border's will also be welcomed news. Expect announcement in 30-60 days.

That's exciting and will definitely be a retail asset to that area. If Bass Pro ever gets around to building their store in Little Rock, we'll have both the major players covered in Arkansas!

I had never thought of that location as a grocery, but it could work, and Fresh Market would be a nice addition to the NWA market. I've only been to one two story grocery store before, but it was about that size and was very nice. They used the second level as the deli/bakery area and had a nice wine selection with tastings if I remember right. I wonder what Fresh Market's plans for the little second level area will be.

Great news! I hope the Fresh Market does come through.

lol, i've posted this elsewhere.... but a Cheese Cake Factory sure would be nice... I heard rumor that it was supposed to come in the same area as borders.... guess my source was wrong perhaps???

Haven't heard anything, but with Cabela's, there may be reason for their interest. I still think it is an extreme long shot due to the lack of density in our market.

Any hope on the Fresh Market still?

Yes, I would say there is hope. Larger tenant deals negotiating with large REITs can take several months to shake out and sometimes the deals will die. But, I don't have any reason to believe that the deal has died. This time of year, retailers are focused on sales and not on expansion, so wouldn't expect much news, if any, until 2012.
