Nice pictures Socaguy... I think those are the first I've seen of Augusta.

After all the neighborhoods I have visited as well as lived in, Summerville is still my favorite. It’s fabulous-still dreaming of living there one day . . .

Augusta oftentimes doesn’t give itself enough credit, and The Hill is just a jewel.

True. I used to live on the Hill when i was younger and walked to St. Marys for school everyday. Of course back then I didnt really realize what a beautiful neighborhood it was, but looking back i wish i could live there again someday.

Just thought I'd add this: on St. Patrick's Day, a new Irish pub opened up in the old Summerville Grill place. It's called Sheehan's Irish Pub. Most people pronounce it like, "Shin's." Now I have 2 bars plus the Knights of Columbus within walking distance!

Here are a few more pics of Summerville. This area, around Walton way at the top of "the hill" forms Augustas 3rd, "mini" skyline. Summerville is about 3 miles west of Downtown Augusta.

I know this post is years old, but I LOVE THESE PICS!! I'm from Augusta, and grew up going to all of these places. I went to St. Mary on the Hill, too, and Aquinas as well. GREAT pics for when I'm feeling homesick!!
