Welcome to the forum city watcher.

West End Summit is now dead according to William Williams of the City Paper. He talked to the PR person with Palmer and they said that now tenant could be found as an anchor.
By the way, what happen to the thread about West End Summit. It was on here yesterday and today it is gone?

If there is a phase 2, it will be market driven. The original rendering on the site had two towers. Tony still has to aquire the other lot. It appears as if it is a two tower design, however; if it is only one tower I personally would like to see one 30+ stories.

My main issue, and it is a bit conservative; but I would rather see towers 15 stories and over along Church Street or Commerce Street. We don't want to lose the view from Rolling Mill Hill, or any views from the Vanderbilt area.

Knowing Tony, I think he will build a phase two at some point. If he does Signature Tower at 500 units plus Viridian at 305 units, that is 805 units plus 300 in Encore so that is 1105 units all in three to four years! That is a lot of downtown units to sell.

We discussed yesterday for the ones that were not there that Tony has to have 400 units pre-sold to move ahead with both the Signature and the Encore. 250 for Signature and 150 for Encore. That is generally the rule to get the financing, 50%. I think it is doable, maybe not quite as soon as we want.

When does Tony plan to start selling units in Signature Tower? I'm waiting with baited breath to hear how that goes.

I think I heard the plan is to start sales in march. Look for a sales office to open soon and a sign to go up at the lot by then.

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't use the Veridian sales office for the Signature.

I apologize for the misinformation that i posted about the hole where the icon will be down in the gulch.
The way they demolished the buildings that were on the site made it look as if it were a big hole.
I rode through there today and it looks as if they are going to start digging soon. It sure does look different down in that area from a year ago. Once again i apologize for misinforming anyone ;)

Is the Hamilton Inn hotel going to sit on the site that the Encor towers is suppose to site on?
I just looked at Tony G's web site and it looks like the spot where the hotel is going to be located.

It's going on the next block south, cw. It'll be at the corner of Gateway and 4th. In the picture, you'll see a row of buildings facing 4th Avenue. Those are now gone and the excavation for the HAMPTON is there.

Hey cw, don't worry about it. I think we all make boo boos every now and again and this is not a biggy. There is so much to keep track of in this town, its a wonder we don't screw up more. We have a great bunch of people here and I hope everyone continues to keep their eyes open.

That's 6 stories. If the Tennessean is to be believed.
