Maybe it's the green roof (which I really don't mind) or the redering of the surrounding landscape, but the Northshore Marina looks like it could be in Coeur d'Alene instead of Slidell. Nice project though.

I inquired about a condo in the Vanage Tower on Friday. The realtor said that they are indeed selling, and that they expect to meet their pre-construction goal of 60% sold sometime this Summer. Should be interesting to watch.

^That's great to hear. I had heard that the condos were not really selling at all, but I'm glad that source was wrong.

GREAT to see all these developments NCB. Very impressive ! That is why New Orleans is Louisiana's premier city !!! I love the high-rise condo's; but the warehouse condo's is very interesting. I am sure that it will really revitalize that area ! The D-Day Museum looks nice too !

? Are the Lakeshore Towers by Tammany Holding Corp. in Lakeshore Estates in Slidell still on the board ? The twin condo towers were to be 28 -stories . On a 10 acre island too. Price range of $ 375,000-$1,600,000 !
I was just wondering if the plans were scrapped after Katrina ?

Does this mean that the Plaza Tower project is back on track? I thought it had been delayed or derailed. This is good to see.

Coming from BR , I have always liked the Plaza Tower, the way it stood-out alone,as the dominate feature on the far right side of the N.O. skyline !

I know they got $25 million in financing shortly after the storm to get the project started. But, I'm still waiting for signs of activity, other than the trailer in place and the chain link fence that surrounds the property.

^When I was walking around the Plaza Tower site two weeks ago on a saturday, it looked like action on the site had picked up quite a bit, with workers on the site and machines starting some ground work.

From what I have heard, the location for the project may be moved further inland, but the overall project is still on!

Anyone know of any other high rise developments in the New Orleans area? I'm getting info on one more small tower in the city, but I don't want to miss anything.

I'm not so sure I like the Lakeshore towers. Thats mostly based on their location in the middle of the lake I assume.

Yep, they are going to be built on a small area of land that pokes out into Lake Ponchartrain near Slidell.
