CONSTRUCTION THREAD: Magnolia Park Town Center

okay..... Well that's kinda weird. A life Insurance company that also does property management I guess. Their website doesn't say anything about property management.

This is not weird at all, perfectly normal and common. More than likely the sales agreement included language that the developer would remain as manager for a number of years.

From the article...

It's now gearing up to develop some 375,000 sf of office space on the site and a hotel. But its plans for residential space are on hold.

Frankly, I think you would have to be crazy to lease an office there.

That does sound odd. The only entity I can imagine considering such a bold venture would be Greenville County. They had considered a relocation to Magnolia Park years ago. I would be less apprehensive about adding office space if I knew residential space is also part of the plans.

Lots of great things in this update (including a few major ones listed below). Instead of having to keep the site offline for 2-3 days while post content migrates and search indexes are rebuilt, the decision was made to get the site back online without these processes being complete. This means that you may see some weird BBCode issues in some posts (until the posts affected are fully rebuilt) and search will not function correctly (or more likely not at all).

Just posting here to see if my comment is legible in the new format, because the comments above are jacked...

FWIW, this appears to be an issue with the most recent version of the TapaTalk plugin. Lots of other forum owners are having the same issue with TapaTalk so I'm mostly at their feet on this one. Hoping for a resolution soon. For any issues outside of TapaTalk, those should clear up automatically over the next few days as all posts have to be rebuilt and will appear 'hosed' until the rebuild is complete. 1.3 million posts take some time to convert unfortunately.

The new site layout makes viewing on a larger monitor very uncomfortable.  Stretches everything out too far.

Shrink your browser window? I can't really fix this issue since it isn't really an issue. I have two 24" monitors in front of me and I have a 27" at home. Large yes, but that's the nature of any website on a monitor this big. Future issues with the site should probably be directed to a more generalized topic or forum so that it doesn't drive a topic off-topic.

Well that's a shame. I think Toby Keith's would've done well in that location.

Although if it had not, and been open for less than a year like some of their other locations, maybe it was for the better.

I'd like to see a Smokey Bones go in that spot.
