I was in LaSalle Square tonight and did not see any indication that anything had been removed from either the Empire or Fountain Street facades. I did not have a chance to walk around the Green and Broadway sides though.

Procaccianti going before Zoning Board to demolish old Police and Fire Headquarters. The site would be used as a surface parking lot until Procaccianti begins work on a mixed-use office tower with street-level restaurant and retail shops that it envisions there.

As important as the proper execution of this property's development is, the below link regarding making LaSalle Square more pedestrian friendly is equally as important. The city (meaning government, citizens, developers, etc) needs to follow through on making this happen.

There were workers at the Public Safety complex this morning drilling into the LaSalle Square facade.

So now that they can yank down the building, there's nothing saying they ever have to build anything on the site, is there? Could they technically just pull out of E@B and keep it as surface parking indefinitely?
