Last night I went to the PBruins game and noticed that this lot now charges $15. I guess the extra block to get to the Triangle Lot is worth $10. That was the honest price difference. Gotta love it. Anyway, I loved it so much I went back today and took some pictures.

You can call ahead with your parking concerns!

Well, it's a temporary lot, but we are going to run some electric here for a future gate anyway, you know, just in case.

Posted Image

Ah, pavement, and pretty white lines. Is there anything better? Thank Gawd we got rid of that dangerous building.

Luckily even temp parking gets lights and berms. You know, "temp" doesn't have to mean you don't get all the perks of those permanent surface lots you find in the other parts of downtown.

I've seen it as high as $30 for 'event' parking.

It costs a lot to maintain all that fancy landscaping . . . <_<

Finally somewhere to park downtown! You know that library site would make a good lot so close to the convention center and trinity. Quick call the city engineer I think the building is a hazard!

Nothing concrete that I've heard recently. I believe they have a deadline on their "temporary" parking lot coming up before too long. But they can get an extension on that.

I would imagine anything that involves constructing a building of almost any type is dead for now... A NY Times article about the over 5 billion dollars worth of proposed construction that's been postponed in NYC mentioned that they don't see any ground being broken there on anything for about 2 years...

I've been away at grad school and in getting "reacquainted" with Providence, it looked liked they finally finished the site work; couldn't tell for sure since I was driving by. I guess that deadline provided the impetus to finally get things done.

I did park here the other night for the PC game. It was very convienent during the snow storm to be so close. And only $10. Thank you Proccianti Group.

But a 25 story building would be better with an attached garage.

I think the city should invoke Kelo, take some of these lots by eminent domain, and at the very least build a public garage or two.

For only a dollar, you can park in the mall garage and use the skybridge and connectors right to the Dunk!

aside from finding a street parking space after 5, the mall is the best parking deal downtown. if you're only there for 15 min, it's free.

It takes about that long to find your way out.

 Try getting outta there in a timely fashion during busy peak hours. It can take a 1/2 hr or more to get out of that zoo. I hate that garage with a passion. After 3pm, when the meter maids go home, I prefer to park near the state house, if I'm not feeling too lazy.

15 min from the time you get your ticket to the time you pay inside the mall. I have no idea how long the ticket to leave is good for, but I imagine they extend it during peak hours. The problem is morons who don't pay, get to the exit and realize after passing all the signs that they're stupid and then wait for someone t to come so they can pay with a $20 and get $19 in change.
