Has anyone checked out the Belk exterior renovations? It's totally different and kind of funky.

It is definitively different. Is the rest of the mall getting an exterior makeover?  I would love to see that, but there has been no announcement.

It is pretty obvious that the remake of Haywood Mall and the corridor, while an improvement, is not going to come anywhere close to what was envisioned pre-recession.  I think the city and Upstate Forever really missed the boat to make this a much more urban and densse setting.
