Charlotte Hornets and the Arena

I like Batum but I am kind of bummed that we gave up Vonleh at 19 years old. I can't blame Cho for making moves to improve the team immediately though, since he'll probably be gone with one more poor season. Fans are tired of waiting for potential to turn into results.

Yea, I hate that we had to give up Vonleh as well... That basically means last years draft was a waste with him. I think Batum is a low risk high reward opportunity. He's been a solid wing player in the past, that can shoot from the perimeter, but just had a bad 2014. If he has a solid season next year, we can keep his bird rights. If he doesn't Hornets can let him walk. The team will potentially have a ton of cap space in 2016. I just hope to god they don't draft Kaminsky tomorrow. #TeamDevinBooker

You know as well as I do that we draft Kaminsky.  The NBA Draft is the perennial Hornets/Bobcats fan let down party.

The elation that I felt when Detroit took Stanely Johnson was clearly no match for the disappointment I felt when I heard "Fr...."

At this point, it's constant refresh on ESPN to see if there is a rumor of us shipping him to anywhere for a high 2nd Round pick and a pack of Chicklets.

I was at the draft party tonight at the arena... The place went bonkers when Detroit made their pick and Winslow was still on the board. Everyone was chanting his name. Then all those cheers turned to boos as soon as Kaminsky was announced. Total let down. But so predictable. A top 5 pick and one that addresses a need falls in your lap and you pass him for Adam Morrison reincarnated (minus the stash)... If you weren't convinced MJ still called the shots, this is the proof you needed that he does.

Why does he have such a boner for stretch 4s? Edited by Guest

^^you might be waiting for long time. When the Hornets grabbed Batum & Lamb that pretty much signaled a big or trade down. Batum is a proven two way player who can create & more importantly shoot from range. Kamisky has a far better skill set than many are giving him credit for. He has legit 3 point range, a solid post game & can put it on the floor. I'm not saying he will be great but I understand the pick given the other moves the Hornets made

Nothing. The All-Star game in Charlotte is in February 2017. The potential lockout won't be until after that season.
