Glad to have you back, rhg247.

This thread used to be what I think was called a "sticky" topic. As you can note from TBurban's plaint above, it's a time-consuming project that none of us seems to have time for. I wouldn't even know how to begin!

Anyway, if you surf around you'll probably find discussions on just about every topic in the Richmond forum pages.

Sorry for the long wait but I have been really busy with business lately. The Richmond Project Database will be updated by Sunday May 10. Many new projects are coming online this year or coming out of the woodwork that sat idle! Their are so many projects being proposed within the last couple of weeks at a dizzing pace I cannot keep up. If I do not list a project that you know about dont hesitate to email me are add it to the list yourself.

Sorry it took so long but the Richmond Project Database has been updated finally! Their is still more to add to the list! While compiling the list I realized how many projects are under construction! Only urban developments were added to the database. Suburban developments come and go so quickly plus goes against this forums true purpose so they were not added. Also Fort Lee is going through a huge $1.5 billion dollar expansion with the BRAC relocation in which I debated to add but it is not urban development but has a major impact on the Richmond and Tri-Cities economy. As time goes on I will clean up the list by adding more pics and websites and extensions to forum threads! Enjoy!

P.S. Also visions and dead projects were not added, only projects with concrete evidence and have been presented in front of City Council and approved with some sort of financial backing!

The Richmond Project Database (since 2008) has passed the 100 mark and Im still adding more! 35 projects are currently under construction in the cities of Richmond, Petersburg and Hopewell! Did not add the county developments!

P.S. Anything that was completed before 2008 has not been added! Also parking decks without retail have not and are not being added!

You guys might want to look at the Development Maps section of UP. Charlotte, Nashville and Spartanburg have them. Good way to keep track of the details of projects and where they are located in your area. Just need someone that has the time to put it all together

Wow!  These development maps are awesome!  I've never seen these before and would be a perfect solution for us!  Thanks for the suggestion. Now we just need to get someone to put it together.  Anyone up for it?  Believe it or not, I don't have an awful lot of time to do it.
