:shok: Wowww, that's incredible. Is that a ring line too, that circle around the center? If it is (I can't tell since there's that many lines), that is a great idea. Boston wants to do something like this.

Yep. The surface ring is the Yamanote line.

Tokyo's Transit system is just amazing. The largest and best I have seen, but it seems like someone could get lost very easily in this system.

It looks pretty intimidating, but once you're in it, it really isn't too bad. You really get to appreciate the complexity relative to how smooth it all runs!! I saw this thing on TV where this guy was going to every Starbucks in America. It gave me the crazy idea of wanting to visit every subway stop in Tokyo just to say I did. My wife thinks I'm nuts and I think she may be right...... :wacko:

Tokyo's mass transit system is definately a rail geeks paradise. Monorails, LRT, Maglev, subways, el's they are all here! What amazes me the most is how clean the facilities are. They look more like surgery rooms or Intel's semiconducter clean rooms than train stations when it comes to hygene. Tokyo must have alot of pride in their mass transit systems.
