Intersection of Burbank and Bluebonnet

Anyone else suprised that nothing has been built here? Stores rumored have ranged from a Neighborhood Walmart, to a Target to a Ashley furniture.

I personally wish a neighborhood or upscale townhomes would be built (that part of town is beautiful in that there's not a abundance of stores). Anyone have any news or heard any rumors about future plans?

Could care less about the brick. If it's a full-scale walmart then it won't be good for the surrounding neighborhoods and home owners who care about their property values.

It's going to be a super center....but it will not have the auto-service portion that most super centers have (when that was set in stone, the Firestone store was built). That's part of the deal with the Spring Lake residents. Building might be higher quality than most Wal-Marts, but it will still be a dirty mess.

Damn. That's a shame. Might as well drive by tomorrow and start dumping trash along the sidewalk and put up a bus bench to get the area looking like it will look a month after it opens. Why isn't there a community asthetic standard that this town makes business follow? Lots of other cities in other states make those types of guidelines EXCEPT this state. WHY?
