Finally got up and took some pictures of the stadium today. Thought this one was pretty symbolic.

That one is from atop of the Russell Industrial Complex. They now have an indoor movie theather which opened up today I believe and they also show drive in movies on Saturdays at 10 pm. Very cool area.

It would be a good industrial building, lol.

It could also be a casino (unique in that it would have windows).

Or part of a convention center (the lower levels could be built into a larger base, and the upper levels could be made into smaller spaces, conference areas, and a parking garage).

They could be office buildings.

I think they could be a lot of different things. You could even reclad them to make them look like the Greektown Casino Hotel if you wanted to.

Since this is a thought completely from the top of my head and just looking at it. I think it would be great to have the taller structure house professional offices and the structures in the background be mixed income housing and having the common areas (unable to see over horizon) set up as a street market environment. I think this would be pretty cool, I might be the only one, but it's better than the homogenized developments that keep sprouting up.

Anyone know what is going on here by the National African American History Museum and The Science Center??

It is always nice to see a parking garage being torn down. Whats going in its place?

That's what it would seem like. Glad that it's going along.

Some one mentioned to me yesturday that the city was going to put into place a ban on hourly hotel rates. I don't see that being helpful to a place like this:

I don't know what is better, a business that supports crime or a vacant building that supports crime.

A rendering of the renovated Argonaut shows the garages removed with a parking lot and some type of building in its place

I have a question. I've tried loading some photos I took, but an error "Sorry, dynamic pages in the [IMG] tags are not allowed." My photos are posted in photobucket so what's going on? Can someone please help my out. Thanks!
