I think it'd be interesting to produce this same thread in the Asheville forum. While WLOS would most likely win because of their location, I wonder how the upstate stations would fare? WYFF's professional and quality production just might win some over... ? :dontknow:

I can't speak for all of WNC, but I can speak for everyone I've met from Hendersonville, NC, where my wife is from. They watch WLOS.

WSPA may do a fair amount of G'ville coverage while WYFF does a fair amount in Spartanburg, but neither have much of any coverage across the state line, outside of the upstate/mountains forecast. Those stations' production quality are thus irrelevant; people want to be informed on LOCAL news. They should be no more interested in Greenville/Spartanburg news than they are in Charlotte or Knoxville.

Besides, anyone who wants to get news from another locality can just pull it up on the net, anyway.

WYFF has better coverage of Spartanburg than WSPA has of Greenville.
