The units of government in Michigan are villages, townships, and cities.  The smallest city in Michigan is Omer, population 337.  There are a number of very small villages, but I don't have any statistics handy.

Actually it looks like the smallest city in Michigan is Lake Angelus with 326.

I just found a city in North Dakota called Hove Mobile Park with a population of only 2! What's the point of a city government with only 2 people? lol

I'll take your word for it. I just read that Omer was the smallest city on the internet, which isn't always the most reliable source of information.

^^That's most likely just a Census-designated place, an unincorporated area that is defined for purposes of counting a population.

Haha, that's probably an atomic-sized city if it was a city!

According to census.gov it is a city and not a CDP.

This is an interesting anomaly... I stand corrected. I wonder was the population was when it incorporated, and if everyone just left.

I've read that North Dakota considers a population of 5,000 or more to be a city.
