Blue Chip Unit, but I think 6 months is too long, the definition of Blue Chip Unit is "next month."

I'm really, really hoping W/110 goes through, as the destiny of that Eastern end of Westminster is clearly linked to its construction (although the coming Hampton Inn guarantees at least some activity in that otherwise sleepy part of downtown).

Let's not forget about the "new" Downcity Diner opening up as well(looks like it could e soon?) down that end. it always has been a great place for lunch, looking foward to strolling down that end for dinner, thou I luv the Red Fez as well!
Side note.....went to NYC and stayed at a "W" on on lex and park, very cool bar, rooms, etc. etc.Eclectic crowd (say no more it's NYC)
Let's have faith that cool people (other than people in their 20's) will just start to gravitate to 110/"W" just because it's the "W" which by the way is OK by me,
cause I'm stylin!

However, make no mistake, I'm sure all of these operators are there anticipating getting in "on the ground floor" of the area around 110/W more than anything else... It's why that project is important.

good reply Garris. that project can be fantastic. I wish all of them the best of luck. that end of the city has an amazing history, maybe that is why it's so magical.

I get the distinct impression that a good deal of Westminster is banking on this project going through - not just turks head and immediate vicinity. I'm sincerely hoping this will go through as well, or at the very least, that some other project will take its place if it doesn't go through. That section of downtown is so beautiful, I'd hate to see us all stuck looking at dirt and staging for the next ten years.

can you imagine the post on here when they announce this either way though - we might have to have a 110/W special get-together for fear of crashing the UP server!

I really wouldn't put too much weight into that. Those dates may have even come from your thread listing all the project completion dates. They don't have a date for Wingate, and neither does your thread.

The word I have now is that "it is on hold...we should know something right after Labor Day."
Whatever that means...anytime after Sept 3rd in September or anytime after September 3rd but before October 27th?
The project delays are now longer than the estimated project construction time. I wonder if that can be correlated into a prediction of this going or not? This has become a matter of faith now (those that believe but cannot see)

I for one wasn't questioning his logic, I was questioning his language, he refused to speak in plain English and in a non-confrontational manner. I think everyone was certainly not of the opinion that the housing market would be rosy forever and that we would have bunnies running free in the streets of Providence handing out milk and honey while it was raining flowers. The threads asking how this could possibly all be sustainable in Providence show that there was widespread skepticism tempered with hope and excitement.

This I agree with and wake up in a cold sweat thinking about. Can we not build a wall around the State House and post guards outside City Hall?
